A bat mitzvah with a single, committed idea: turn a hotel ballroom into a private beach club. Not beach decorations in a ballroom, but a club with its own name, crest, signage system and merch, carried consistently from the front door to the dance floor to the hoodie a guest took home.
The trick with a themed event is that it usually stops at decoration. Treating this as an actual club meant every surface had to answer to the same identity. The crest on the entrance oval is the crest on the hoodie is the monogram set into the pool floor. Guests walk through a doorway and land somewhere specific, somewhere with a name.

Signed by guestsThe crest and monogram had to survive being scaled from a hoodie patch to a dance floor, so I built the marks simple enough to read at both ends and applied them consistently across every piece in the room.

Most of the work on this one was restraint. A beach club could have gone loud. Instead the palette stays in soft blues, cream and a single blush accent, so the printed pool reads as water rather than as a graphic, and the striped fabric overhangs feel structural instead of decorative.
The measure of it is the surfboard at the end of the night: covered in signatures, with a branded hoodie hanging off it. The identity stopped being decor and became the thing guests wanted their name on.
