Carousel Ball is one of the Children's Diabetes Foundation's largest annual fundraisers. It fills a ballroom with category displays (Fashion & Beauty, Cuisine, Travel, Entertainment and more), each built around a live or silent auction. Lively Productions designed the entire signage and display system for the room, category by category.

The concept

Numbered purses as wayfinding

Each mannequin in the Fashion & Beauty display holds a printed purse marked with a number. That number ties directly to an info sign nearby listing exactly what's up for auction under it, so guests could browse the mannequins first and then look up what they were bidding on.

category zones across the ballroom, each with its own signage but one shared visual system

A room this size lives or dies on wayfinding. Guests need to find their category, understand what's up for bid, and connect a display back to a bid number without a staff member walking them through it. The signage system did that job with consistent navy-and-white category markers overhead, clear entrance columns, and info signs paired directly with every item.

The mannequin concept solved a smaller but trickier problem inside Fashion & Beauty. A wall of similar-looking pieces needed a simple, physical way to connect an outfit to its listing, and a numbered purse in the mannequin's hand did that without any extra signage cluttering the display.
