Roundup River Ranch is a camp in Gypsum, Colorado that gives kids with serious medical needs a free camp experience. "A Taste of Camp" is their annual fundraising gala , this year marking the ranch's 20th anniversary. The centerpiece of the night was a stage backdrop built to look like a massive cross-section of a tree stump, its growth rings lit from within, with the ranch's logo carved into the center.

STAGE CENTERPIECE
Designed the tree-stump backdrop: ring layout, lighting integration and the logo treatment
BUILD
Built the piece alongside Lively's in-house carpenter, from layered rings to bark-edge detail
EVENT SIGNAGE
Prepped the welcome sign, 20th anniversary banner, and entrance backdrop for print
BANNER SYSTEM
Produced the "Power of Camp" banners flanking the room
ON-SITE INSTALL
Installed the full stage and signage package ahead of the gala
SPONSOR SCREENS
Formatted sponsor recognition and live-auction content for the room's displays

The stage centerpiece is fully original, with no AI involved. Several of the surrounding banners and signs (the camp-scene illustrations) started as AI-generated concept art the client provided; my job on those was cleaning them up and preparing them for large-format print.

years of Roundup River Ranch, marked by the anniversary theme running through the stage and signage

The brief for the stage piece was simple to say and hard to build. Make it look like a real, massive slice of a tree, with the rings and bark and weight, but get clean even light glowing out from between the layers and a logo that reads clearly from the back of the room. That meant working hand-in-hand with Lively's carpenter through several rounds of layered construction before it ever got its finish.

For a fundraiser built around camp and nature, that centerpiece did a job a logo on a step-and-repeat never could. People wanted to walk up and look at it.
