Ameristar's Black Hawk casino celebrated the Lunar New Year across the whole property, from the casino floor to the lobby and reception. Lively Productions dressed the space with a rearing gold horse, a lit horse head medallion on the wall, and lanterns and banners throughout.
The lanterns and the gold horse statue came from the wider decor package and were not designed by me. Everything above is my work.

The "Happy Lunar New Year" banners carried the same mark into the reception hallway, next to the lantern displays. Behind them are custom cut window panels, the horse logo on the left and right and the Happy New Year logo in the middle. Those sat behind the check-in desk.

Casinos move fast and the floor is always busy. The artwork had to read from across the room and still look good in the photos guests took standing right next to it. The gold on cream medallion with lights around the edge does both. Clear shape from a distance, warm detail up close.
It also meant working inside someone else's decor plan. The statue and lanterns were bought separately, so my job was to make everything I designed feel like part of the same celebration instead of something added on later.
